Sunday 8th May saw 30 bowlers compete in a triple competition for the Memorial Shield. This is an annual competition played for charity. The winners choose the charity for the following year’s game.
Alter playing 4 games in 2 sections, The final was between Rachel, Michael and Julie v Gordon, Brian and Jo.
The sun shone all day with the final played in beautiful conditions,  Gordon and his team eventually winning.
£215 was collected for the charity Mesothelioma UK the national asbestos-related charity.
