Despite a wet day forecast the weather was kind to us and remained dry for the Frank Costar Trophy played on Sunday 5th June.  This year there were 5 triples of bowler drawn for teams.
The winners were Mike Kernahan, Michael Andrews and Dave Mitchell. Well done and thanks to Martin for organising the day.

The Farnborough Fairy has been busy again. Our mascot has now got to wear the new club shirt.  Thank You Fairy

Sunday 8th May saw 30 bowlers compete in a triple competition for the Memorial Shield. This is an annual competition played for charity. The winners choose the charity for the following year’s game.
Alter playing 4 games in 2 sections, The final was between Rachel, Michael and Julie v Gordon, Brian and Jo.
The sun shone all day with the final played in beautiful conditions,  Gordon and his team eventually winning.
£215 was collected for the charity Mesothelioma UK the national asbestos-related charity.

Saturday 30th April
President v Vice President yesterday and an excuse to wear our new shirts. The day started with a spider and raised a good amount of money for Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice. Some snacks afterwards and prizes for each winning triple.

Coaching will start on Saturday Mornings at 10 am from May.

The club will supply bowls and other equipment and one of our coaches will show you the basics. You only need to wear a flat pair of shoes
