Today we presented Alec Sharman with a Honorary Members Certificate.

Alec has been a member since 1984. In 2010 he achieved his coaching certificate to be the first qualified coach at the club. Membership was declining but Alec’s enthusiasm for coaching and attracting new members has stopped the decline and seen the club build up a healthy membership.

In 2011 Alec was the Club President and was instrumental in getting coloured club shirts introduced. In 2015 he became president of Farnham & District Bowling Association.

We thank Alec for all of the work – and many hours of coaching – he has done for the club.
