Work on new green starts 12th September

Yesterday Farnborough Bowling Club signed contracts with Kestrel (Contractors) Limited for the relaying and reseeding of our bowling green which will commence on the 12th September.

This is an exciting day for the club and we are extremely proud of the club members’ hard work. We hope this is just the start of many improvements the club can make.

A lot of hard work has gone in to securing funding for this project. We have been awarded a £3,500 grant from the TAG fund. Many of our members have given generously to the Smile Fund.

Councillor Martin Tennant, cabinet member for environment and service delivery said: “These are two great local projects, which we are delighted to be able to help and it’s great to see residents of all ages benefiting from the fund.

The bowling green renewal will ensure that Farnborough Bowling Club continues to thrive into the future and attracts new membership.

”The club encourages members of the community to keep active, enjoy the outdoors and the social side of the sport with regular events and club meets.”
