Another Farnham & District Competition Success.

We are through to the Mixed Triples Final. Last night we beat Crondal both home and away. Finals are being hosted at Farnborough Bowling Club on 2nd September

Sheila is through to the Farnham and District Single finals after a convincing win in the semis on Sunday at The Bourne

Every two years, during the Farnborough Airshow when it is difficult to get to and from the club, we have an away day.  This year we played Highcliffe. Some of the bowlers made a weekend of it and spent time in the the Christchurch area.

What a day! The weather was perfect, the green bowled beautifully, the company was sublime, the food was delicious and we won on 2 rinks.

Although we didn’t win overall we did win the Corner-to-Corner and Spider so overall a very successful day.
The day finished with Bowls England President, Bill Smith presenting the club with a Bowls England Pendant, which will hang proudly in the clubhouse.
A big thank you must go to the many members who worked so hard to make this day a success, well done all.

Yesterday at Alton Social, in blistering heat, our Sheila won all of her knockout games in the Dolly Anstey Cup (North Hampshire’s Women’s 2 Wood Singles) to qualify for the Final on 3rd September at Farnborough Gate.  Well done.

Farnborough Bowling Club are hosting a celebration game against Bowls England on Wednesday 4th July, start 1:30pm.  This is to celebrate our new green which was installed for the 2017 season.
The Green will be a hive of activity and good bowling and there should be an entertaining game.
