A good season for the men in the Aldershot & District League. We went into the last game with a chance of finishing in the top two and gaining promotion; this depended on both clubs above us loosing and us winning. Unfortunately it was not to be, we won our game, only dropping half a point, but both of the teams above us won 4-1.
The season has seen our men bowl very well and turn in some great results, hopefully we can continue this form next season.
Farnborough Bowling Club had a nail biting quarter final against Pyestock last night. With one end to go one triple was 6 shots up and the other 6 shots down. An inspiring final end by both triples saw them both win and progress to the semi. Well done teams
Another Farnham & District Competition Success.
We are through to the Mixed Triples Final. Last night we beat Crondal both home and away. Finals are being hosted at Farnborough Bowling Club on 2nd September

Every two years, during the Farnborough Airshow when it is difficult to get to and from the club, we have an away day. This year we played Highcliffe. Some of the bowlers made a weekend of it and spent time in the the Christchurch area.
What a day! The weather was perfect, the green bowled beautifully, the company was sublime, the food was delicious and we won on 2 rinks.
Although we didn’t win overall we did win the Corner-to-Corner and Spider so overall a very successful day.
The day finished with Bowls England President, Bill Smith presenting the club with a Bowls England Pendant, which will hang proudly in the clubhouse.
A big thank you must go to the many members who worked so hard to make this day a success, well done all.
