Men’s A&D team win Division 4

After very good results in August for both teams.
The B team win Division 4 after an end of season battle between the other contender Mytchett.  The A team had already won Division 2 a couple of weeks ago.

Screen Shot 2014-08-13 at 10.16.49

Farnborough needed a draw or win to secure the title but excelled themselves with a 5-0 win, whilst the A team won 5-0 away at Traco: so much for Traco accusing us of playing ringers.
A great season for both teams, well done.

Farnborough Ladies into 4 semi-finals

Our ladies have made it to three North Hants semi-finals.  They are:

  • Pairs – Edna Lakeman & Anne Hellier.
    • 10am Thursday 21st August at St. Mary Bourne
  • Triples – Joan Abbott, Edna Lakeman & Anne Hellier.
    • 2pm Tuesday 26th August at St. Mary Bourne
  • Fours – Diane Hill, Vicky Raison, Edna Lakeman and Anne Hellier.
    • 2pm Thursday 21st August at St. Mary Bourne

Please support our ladies on the days if you can.  Here is a map of St Mary Bourne

Farnham & District

Sheila Andrews is through to the Farnham & District Singles. the game will be played on the evening of the 28th August, details of venue when available.

Very well done Ladies.

Farnborough top of A&D Leagues

Both our teams are now top of their relevant divisions.  The B team had a very good 5-0 win against Yateley to go half a point ahead of Mytchett in Division 4.  The final game in Division 4 is Farnborough v Mytchett at home so this will be a title decider.  Farnborough need a draw or win to take the league title.
If you are free next Tuesday evening get down to the club and support our men; I am sure it will help them in this “crunch” game.
