As always we opened the club to the public on the Rotary Club’s Donkey Derby Day.  We had a terrific response from the public with a constant stream of people popping in for some refreshments. Lots of the children played fun bowls with the target wedge and some older ones had a good try at bowls.

If you got a taste for it yesterday and want to take it further, or didn’t get to try bowls, come along on Saturday morning for 10am and have some coaching.

All 4 rinks won in our County Club game against Traco last week. Away to Yateley on the 4th June in the next round.

A great turn out of members today to prepare the green and clubhouse for the opening drive tomorrow.  Also the work done prior to today by members who couldn’t make today. A great effort by everyone.

One of the tasks was to instal the newly purchased marquee replacement. A lot of head scratching, puffing and ****** but eventually erected and looking brilliant.
