Farnham & District Finals

Another great event hosted by our club and a successful day on the green for our bowlers.

The Mixed Triples team of Harrison, Sheila, Geoff, Anthony, Edna and Martin had a tight game against Pyestock. The teams played very well and delivered some brilliant shots just when needed, well done.

In the Ladies Singles, Sheila was playing Margaret Fielding from Farnborough Gate again.  Sheila took an early lead and the win never looked in doubt.

At the presentation we also received our shield for being Division 1 runners up.

Farnborough Bowling Club are hosting the Farnham & District Finals on behalf of Rowledge Bowling Club on Sunday 2nd September, starting at 10am.

Sheila Andrews is playing in the ladies singles and we have a team competing in the Mixed Triples.

Rowledge are serving food, tea and coffee.  The bar will be open.

Our Sheila is through to the North Hampshire Women’s Single Final after a good win in her Semi yesterday.

A good season for the men in the Aldershot & District League. We went into the last game with a chance of finishing in the top two and gaining promotion; this depended on both clubs above us loosing and us winning.  Unfortunately it was not to be, we won our game, only dropping half a point, but both of the teams above us won 4-1.

The season has seen our men bowl very well and turn in some great results, hopefully we can continue this form next season.
