It is with great sadness that I have to inform you all that Frances Forbes has died. Frances was an active member of Farnborough Bowling Club, as witnessed in this photo of her helping clear out the hedges.
Her funeral will be held at St. Andrews Church, Queens Avenue, Aldershot on Tuesday 25th September at 11:00am and at Potters International Hotel, Farnborough Road after the service. More details to follow.

I I find it difficult to find words to express how I feel except to say how saddened I am that Frances has died. She was beautiful in more ways than one. To me she was a very good friend, always kind and helpful. We had some good times , we laughed together and on occasion cried together. We enjoyed the same things, bowls, walking and gardens. I will miss her so much and remember her with affection always.
Spotted a notice at Camberley Bowls about Frances’s funeral, said “Bright clothes and single stem flowers only”
We are very saddened with this news and wish to send our deepest condolences to the family. June has many lovely memories of bowling with Frances in the Ladies and Blackwater Valley Games. Unfortunately we will be unable to attend the celebration of Frances’s life on the 25th September but our thoughts will be with you all and her family on this day.
Very sad news. Frances was a very kind and gentle lady, the day we cleared the hedge I was with Frances and she worked really hard, it was a very warn day but she kept going, through our conversations I know she enjoyed her walking holidays and other walks, some with the bowls club, and how she enjoyed looking after her own garden. Frances has been a member of the Bowls Club for a long time and I know she will be greatly missed.
