An Evening of Entertainment

Friday 12th September. k Now there's a story.
Vicky, our President, laid on an evening of entertainment. A magician had been booked and went round the tables doing close-up magic while we ate our delicious cheese, bread and biscuit.

j Alec glad to get his £20 note back. After the food the magician provide a short show, the highlight was retrieving Alec’s £20 note from inside a walnut.

Much laughter was had in naming the Racoon, well done Alec for such an imaginative name.

Monday Club Fun Afternoon

IMG_0573The weather was great, twenty two people turned up – some of them bowling for the first time, five challenges were set up, the fun began.

The Jack in the Box turned out to be a bit difficult but all challenges were attempted with gusto, laughter and not taken too seriously.

After much arithmetic from Michael the final adjusted scores were announced: Third was Alec Sharman, second Geoff Ringrose and just two points ahead David Jennings the winner.

Many thanks to all who took part and entered into the spirit and making the afternoon such a success.

There are currently 2 million people living with cancer in the UK. By 2030 there will be 4 million. We want to make sure we’re there for all of them.

One in three of us will get cancer and  for most it will be the toughest thing we ever face. When you’re facing the toughest fight of your life, you need a team of inspiring people in your corner with you.
