Green opening delayed

The green keeper has recommended that the green needs at least another week for the winter maintenance to take effect before we can play on it. It is therefore with regret that Sunday’s Drive, Monday Club on the 13th and the Friendly on Wednesday 15th have been canceled. We will provide an update in a few days as to when the green will be open.

When the Mayoress came for tea

Farnborough Bowling Club in Canterbury Road was the venue for a Christmas Pantomime attended by a number of local Senior Citizens on Sunday 14th December. It was expertly acted out by Members of the Bowling Club.

Seasons Greetings and good will were the themes of the afternoon when Farnborough Bowling Club and its A&E Players put on a Pantomime loosely based on the story of Aladdin and then provided a cracking Christmas Tea for everyone. The audience included residents from Knellwood and Lavender Lodge; a great afternoon was had by all.

IMG_6273Mr Peter Moate, the Manager of the Co-operative  Store on Woburn Avenue, Farnborough kindly sponsored the event by providing the afternoon Christmas Tea for all.

The Lady Mayoress, Diane Bedford, closed the event at 5pm wishing everyone a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
