Farnborough Bowling Club Hosted the North Hants Womens Bowling Association’s Kath McFaulds Pairs on Wednesday 29th August.

Farnborough’s own ladies, Diane Hill and Sheila Andrews has a good run making the Quarter Finals but were beaten by Fleet United’s Pam Whittaker and Janice Doran who only got the better of our girls on the last couple of ends.

Diane Timms and Carol Goodridge from Whitchurch will play Brenda Plumpton and Doreen Atkins from Alton Social in the final at Fleet United BC

Diane Hill is through to the semi-finals of the North Hants Ladies’ Singles, which is to be played on Thursday 20th August at St Mary Bourne.

Sheila Andrews is through to the Area Finals of the County Ladies’ Unbadged singles. The game will be at Hook, date and time to follow

Another enjoyable club competition made better by lovely weather. After some great games of bowls Christine and Martin Lee won 2 sets to love against Anne Hellier and Geoff Chadd in the final.

The Plate was equally well contested with new bowlers Carol and Allan Paice given Edna and John Lakeman a good run in the final but eventually loosing one and half sets to a half.

A big thank you to everyone for making the day a great success.

The A team still remain top of the A&D League Division 1. Well done to all the members who have bowled in the league so far.

Next week we are away to Windlesham so another win would be nice

Farnborough Men had a convincing win against Traco yesterday evening. They won in both singles, triples and rinks to give a score of 4-1, Well done all.
