The Nell Rumble Shield started in 1993, Nell’s 40th year in the club. She kindly donated a super shield and it has been a fixture in the club’s schedule ever since.

It is a Two Wood Triples open to teams of men, ladies or mixed. It started as a 15 end knockout but was later changed to league format, ensuring teams a number of games each, with the number of ends usually being 8 per match.

Alan Elliott, Stuart Markham and Jack Markham met Finton Price, Roger Price and Brian Brain their last round robin game. This proved to be the final in all but name as the winners of this match would take the title this year.

Alan, Stuart and Jack came out the winners after a closely fought match. Well done chaps, and well done to our runners-up.
