June 1st was another great day at the Club.  Lovely weather and 27 bowlers competed in the annual Frank Costar Trophy – a drawn triples event.  The teams played round robin games in two leagues and after some close matches the two league winners contested the final.  After a tough fought final our eventual winners were Alan, Roger and Terry. But win or lose, competitors and spectators had a great day of fun and competitive bowls.  If you’d like to try bowls come along and give it a go, we hold introductory coaching mornings most Saturdays.
