BDA Coaching Statement

BDA Coaching Statement

This statement is in reply to a number of coaches who at recent coaches meetings around the country and through communications with the BDA are under the impression that it is the BDA who are not prepared to discuss coaching or meet with the EBCS:

“The BDA would like to make it known there has been no refusal to talk to or meet with the EBCS at any point since the appointment of the Coaching Manager on 4th October 2011. Despite initial contact being made with the EBCS on 27th October 2011 and a subsequent meeting with the EBCS chair on 28th November 2011 with an offer to meet with the EBCS Committee and Regional Coaches to discuss joint working ,no invites to attend any EBCS meetings have been forthcoming.

The BDA is committed to developing a robust and supportive coaching system for all coaches on the ground and wish to work collaboratively with ALL organisations that share their coaching vision The door is still open for the EBCS and any other organisations to be involved in the development of the new coaching system”

  1. Yeah, the two just don’t seem to get on methinks. I doubt they will work together and even if they do initially I am sure the BDA will ditch EBCS once they have their own programme in full swing. I think that for the next year it will stay very messy.Shame.
